"Let's Catch-Up"

We're living in Ocala now - and things are great! I felt like I left a piece of my heart in Tulsa but I'm happy to be where we are now.

Gary found a job that fits him perfectly. He has a pretty normal schedule and regular paycheck - and we are (mostly me) thankful that he is out of the Kirby business!

The baby just turned a year old. (oh and she is starting to walk) Kylie is in 2nd grade and Mollie started kindergarten this year. They are excelling - each to their own degree but none the less they LOVE school and have great attitudes about learning. And that, I'm finding, is more than half-the-battle.

I'm working but it is less than part-time - I work in the office of the apartment complex we are living in and I have to say it is and pretty good gig! Gets me out of the house for a few hours a day without having to put Lainie in childcare and I'm doing "my part" in contributing toward the finances.

So....that's it - it's the "let's catch-up" conversation in a nut-shell. Now, I can blog on a more regular basis about the everyday trivial things that I need to get out there in more than just a facebook status update.

Ready to POP

One last picture of my big ol' belly. Always like to get that late pregnancy picture. Gary swears I have never been this big before but I'm not so sure.
Anyway, for those of you who still keep up via blog, here is a quick update. Today was my last day of work - actually ended up leaving a little early because there was a huge ice-storm heading to town. I am extremely anxious about driving on icy roads but even more so now because I was in a car accident on Sunday. (Got hit from behind by a young driver who was distracted by her iphone - she hit me and I hit the three cars in front of me - yeah! - Also found out today that my new van (which I have had for three weeks) was totaled!) So, needless to say, I made it home before the roads got bad and plan on staying home until they are better.
The big day is this Monday and I am looking forward to spending the weekend nesting and resting!! My mom flew in last night and plan on taking full advantage of her assistance - especially with meal preperation.
I will be sure to post pictures of the baby as soon as possible!

Sneak-Peek

Here is a picture we got at our last ultrasound. This was taken during the "4D" portion of the ultrasound. We could also see her open her eyes and mouth during this time - it was amazing!!

New Inspiration

It has been some time since I've posted. However, I was truly inspired today by a blog that I read and have decided it's time for me to start "blogging" again. Not really for anyone but me - a creative outlet you could say. (I also have a new camera so that will probably be a lot of inspiration to post new pictures)

Significant highlights from the past 6 months..

Let's see...my last entry announced that we opened our own business. Well, we closed it. One thing after another brought us to a point where we needed to close it and move on. At the time it seemed like the end of everything but then again it brought great relief. The two months that followed are kind of a blur now, the only thing that stands true in my mind is that God is faithful!! Not to sound super spiritual, or ambiguous for that matter, it is simply the truth - God is faithful! And I know that regardless of what my circumstances look like I will always come out on top. So now, Gary and I are actually both working and enjoying our new time together.

I am still pregnant and expecting Lainie Bostic on February 1st. The girls are super excited and can't wait for her to get here. They both promise they WILL NOT help change diapers but I think if the occassion arises they would be more than willing to help - they love babies as much as I do.

We are slowly starting to get the nursery ready. It has been five years since Mollie was a baby and we have made 4 moves since that time - so needless to say, I did not have one baby item in the house when I found out I was pregnant. However, the ladies from church threw a baby shower for me and that gave me a start to getting the things that we need. So, I have a list and we are scratching off the items that we will need before Lainie's arrival. (I'll post pictures of the nursery soon.)

Pinky (aka: my mother) will be here by the end of January and stay for a while to help out with the baby - I'm looking forward to that. Cory, Cody & Kaidyn will also be here in February - for 10 days. They are coming for Winter Bible Seminar but they will stay with us during that time - so we will plenty of family time with them.

Gary and I are so excited about this baby - we didn't plan this pregnancy the way that we did the other two - but it was just what we needed. Something so wonderful to look forward to during a time that we thought we would never see the end of. But here we are - well adjusted and so in love with each other, our children and our life. I look forward to keeping you up to date on this exciting new season of our life.

It's Been Too Long

So, I realize that it has been a long time since I've updated this page and Gary insists that no one reads it anymore, but I assured him that I still have a few readers left. (so, if you are still out there don't be afraid to leave a comment -hint, hint, Iris)

Four months have past since my last post and out of habit I would almost say that nothing is new - but I do have a few updates. First, we opened our own business. Gary is a Kirby Distributor which is kind of like buying a franchise into the Kirby business. Kirby is a vacuum cleaner - for those of you who don't know. We don't have a store front but we are required to have an office - this is where he does his hiring, training, and meetings - you know an office. Things are going well and Gary is loving every step of this new adventure. I took a few pictures of the office - we found an office with extremely low overhead - but with that being said we also had to do the work to get it to our liking. So here are a few before and after pictures. (The "after" pictures loaded before the "before" pictures)

This was a Tanning Salon before we moved in - all purple and pink.

Gary tore down several "tanning rooms" and built this wall to divide the lobby from the training area. We've added a curtain as well.
This is where the receptionist will sit - when we have one officially.

Before picture

Before picture - notice the gold trim. Yikes.

So, my second piece of news is that we're pregnant!! We found out a few weeks ago and though we weren't trying we weren't shocked either (we still know how babies are made.) We are all very excited but I think Gary is the most excited. The girls have been very sweet about the whole thing and are already planning where the baby will sleep and where the carseat will go in the car. I am feeling great and don't anticipate any problems. I love being pregnant and had two glorious pregnancy in the past. So, we'll keep you posted.
